​The Smarter Schools National Partnerships encompass nationally agreed education objectives developed through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG). The three partnerships: Improving Teacher Quality, Literacy and Numeracy, and Low Socio-Economic School Communities integrate to form a cohesive platform for innovation. They are focused on improving the educational experiences and outcomes of students, particularly those in greatest need of support.

The Partnerships are grounded in evidence-based educational research about what shapes a student’s education experiences and levels of attainment.
