 Applying for a Grant

Under the Commonwealth Government Targeted Programs LNSLN Program – Students with Disabilities, applications are invited each year for grants to independent schools educating identified students in the following school year.

The Application Form and accompanying Guidelines and Instructions for this program are made available to Principals in August of each year for funding in the categories of Integration, Special Schools, Children with Severe Disabilities and Non Schools Organisations in the following year. A second round is available for Integration and Capital Works and Equipment for Students with Disabilities in February.  These forms are accessible from Grant Information and Application Forms below.  Eligibility criteria are specified in the Application Guidelines.

Assessment of Applications

All applications are assessed by an external assessment committee of relevant professionals using the criteria detailed in the Administrative Guidelines for Commonwealth Programs for Non-government Schools. The assessment committee is chaired by the AISNSW Director: Professional Services.

Recommendations of Applications

The recommendations made by the Assessment Committee are reviewed by the Literacy, Numeracy and Special Learning Needs (LNSLN) Advisory Committee and the Targeted Programs Reference Panel before being considered for approval by the AISNSW Board.
