The annual AIS Pastoral Care Conference, on Friday 6th August, promises to be a stimulating and thought provoking day with a wide range of speakers and workshops addressing the important issue of student and staff mental health within the school environment. Delegates will be challenged to consider how they can engage in deliberate strategies to build secure and supportive environments; and promote attitudes and behaviours which enhance mental health and wellbeing.

Plenary speakers include Professor Ian Hickie from the Brain and Mind Institute, Jo Mason from MindMatters Australia, Mark Le Messurier, author of ‘Teaching Tough Kids’; and Matthew Johnstone and Nic Newling from the Black Dog Institute.
