 School Reporting

Independent schools must meet a range of reporting requirements for governments.  The Commonwealth Government and NSW Board of Studies require schools to publish an annual school report each year.  AIS advice on annual reports is currently being updated and will be available on this page when completed.

In addition, the Commonwealth requires the publication of additional school information including context, student enrolments, staffing, national testing results, selected financial information and achievements each year on the My School website.

In reporting to parents, schools are required to provide information as specified by the Commonwealth Government in the Schools Assistance Regulation.  AIS advice for member schools on student reports is currently being updated and will be available on this page when completed.

Although not the focus of this page, there are a significant number of other requirements which impact on independent schools including reporting for school boards, ASIC, child protection for students and, from an employment perspective, overseas students.

Member schools seeking more information should contact Robyn Yates, Director: Government Education Policy, on (02) 9299 2845.
