School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT)

AISNSW supports and encourages School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT) as they provide students with the opportunity to attain a nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification as well as their Higher School Certificate (HSC). SBATs provide the opportunity to learn and earn at the same time to enhance employability skills that are transferable across many industries.

Some SBATs can also contribute to an ATAR.

SBATs are available in a large range of industries from Aeroskills, Agriculture, Beekeeping, Carpentry, Early Childhood, Engineering, Health, Fashion, Plumbing, Retail and Transport and Logistics to name a few.
