Distance Education Resources
Relevancy: K-12

DoE has made provision for independent schools to access their Distance Education resources. These include lessons and units of work for Kindergarten to Year 12, by Stages 1-6 categorised by KLA. These packages are subject to strict copyright and should be used in accordance with the conditions stated on each resource.

Due to the copyright requirements, these resources can only be accessed by independent school staff using a school email, username and password link in an AISNSW website profile.

Normally these resources would be facilitated by a Distance Education teacher and an adult supervisor (parent or guardian) in the home to support students to complete the required tasks. AISNSW warmly thanks the NSW Department of Education for generously sharing these resources.

AISNSW Learning from Home Conversation Series: Centralising Pedagogy

AISNSW Learning from Home Conversations is a four-part video series focusing on centralising purpose and pedagogy in the learning from home environment.

Each conversation features a video, information sheet and range of prompts that could be used for internal professional learning. Together these cover core principles to consider as we reflect on the increased use of technologies in teaching and learning, for facilitating connection, and in supporting students as they are learning from home.

At the heart of Learning from Home Conversations is a reconnection with craft, a prioritisation of relationships, and centralisation of pedagogy. Our intention is to provide you with information and practical strategies drawn from research and evidence. These will support you in the design of learning for right now. They will also assist during the inevitable transition period as students return to on campus learning.

During the NESA Interim Accreditation period (6 Feb-31 July) this professional learning meets the criteria for Elective PD.

The topics covered include:

  • Part 1: Where to Begin (again)
  • Part 2: Centralising Pedagogy
  • Part 3: Evidence of Learning
  • Part 4: Exploring Digital Pedagogy and the Role of the iPAC Framework

AISNSW consultants are also available if you wish to conduct this professional learning as a whole-school.
Please contact evidence@aisnsw.edu.au to find out more.
