Due to recent changes to the Fair Work Act 2009, the Fair Work Ombudsman has introduced the Casual Employment Information Statement (CEIS).
Schools are required to provide every new casual employee the CEIS before, or as soon as possible after, they commence employment.
Further, small business employers need to provide their existing casual employees with a copy of the CEIS as soon as possible after 27 March 2021. Other employers are required to give their existing casual employees a copy of the CEIS as soon as possible after 27 September 2021.
