NSW Secondary Students’ Post-School Destinations and Expectations Report (2016)

This highly informative report from the Social Research Centre identifies current realities and trends in post-school education, training and employment destinations of secondary school students in NSW. It provides a basis from which informed judgements can be made about engagement, retention, educational achievements and pathway choices.

From a VET perspective, there were 3,638 VET students from NSW independent schools in 2016 with approximately two-thirds of these students completing the VET course within their own school and the remainder using an external provider.

The AIS RTO supports 88 independent schools with delivery of VET within their school, and popular areas include Hospitality, Construction, Entertainment, IDT, Tourism, Primary Industries, Business Services and Retail.
