Did you know that teacher feedback has an impact on syllabus development in New South Wales? Teachers of K-6 Creative Arts have the opportunity to influence syllabus development in the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) review of the Creative Arts K-6 Syllabus.
There are three ways to be involved in shaping the syllabus. AISNSW is hosting a focus group on Wednesday, 26th July – a one hour, face to face opportunity to have your views heard on the Creative Arts K-6 Draft Directions for Syllabus Development.
If you are unable to make it, but would like a face to face meeting, please contact Kelly Borg at email@example.com. If online participation is more your style, we encourage you to respond to these five survey questions.
The process for syllabus development involves AISNSW providing comment to NESA on behalf of the independent sector. This year, AISNSW has been involved in the development of a number of syllabus documents including K-6 Science and Technology, K-10 PDHPE and K-10 Languages, and has seen first-hand the impact that teacher feedback has on shaping the documents.
Feedback on the Creative Arts K-6 Draft Directions for Syllabus Development and the Introduction to the Creative Arts Draft Directions for Syllabus Development from across the sector is incredibly valuable to us and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on them.
