Consultation on draft HSC Examination Specifications has begun for new Stage 6 English, Mathematics Standard*, Science and History courses.
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) has developed a range of proposals for examination specifications, which are designed with the intention to reduce predictability and pre-prepared responses, and to focus on students’ application of knowledge, understanding and skills.
Feedback about the draft examination specifications can be provided through online surveys and written submissions directly to NESA. Please click on the link below:
The AIS is also gathering information from teachers in independent schools to help inform our submission to NESA. To provide feedback please email the relevant AIS consultant listed below:
Carlo Tuttocuore (History) firstname.lastname@example.org
Karen Stapleton (English) email@example.com

The new syllabuses will be examined for the first time in 2019.
