Students living in rural, regional and remote Australia will get financial support to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) courses through the Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships Program.
Eligible students can access up to $18,000 towards the cost of studying at university or a vocational education and training institution through the $24 million Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships program which is now open.
More than 1,200 rural, regional and remote students will receive support through the program that is already supporting more than 500 students. New guidelines will also make it easier for drought-affected students to apply, including families receiving the Farm Household Allowance. Applications close on Friday 14 December 2018.
