STEM is a combination of the four disciplines of (S)cience, (T)echnology, (E)ngineering, and (M)athematics. It recognises the importance of integration in teaching and learning across these areas. Where The (A)rts are also integrated, STEM is known as STEAM.

The AISNSW supports schools in STEM education in a wide variety of ways including through funded projects, Professional Learning consultancy, courses and conferences K-12.
