ESTA-L® 


ESTA-L® is a screening platform that has been developed by AISNSW to assist teachers to map students’ phonological awareness and phonics skills. These constrained skills are fundamental to ensuring all children learn to read, particularly students in Kindergarten to Year 2. 

ESTA-L® is a screening platform that has been developed by the Association of Independent Schools of NSW, to assist teachers to map students’phonological awareness and phonics skills. These constrained skills are fundamental to ensuring all children learn to read, particularly students in Kindergarten to Year 2. 

The app provides a seamless, paper-free, time-saving screener that quickly assesses and instantly tracks individual student and whole class performance. ESTA-L® is quick and simple to use, requiring only a phone or tablet. Individual student, whole class or whole school data can easily be manipulated using the specially designed portal to inform class room instruction and monitor student progress.

ESTA-L® is currently available to schools participating in the Early Literacy Project, however subscriptions will be made available for purchase prior to the 2021 school year.
