This year's AISNSW Geography Conference will equip you with the tools and knowledge needed to inspire your students, spark their curiosity, and prepare them to become geographically literate and informed citizens.

The Conference will have a primary focus on the delivery and assessment of the new Geography 7-10 Syllabus and the teaching of Geography 11-12 (Stage 6).

This Conference aims to empower Geography educators to instil a profound sense of curiosity in students about the intricate tapestry of our world's places, environments, and cultures and the importance of embedding sustainability.

Keynote Presenter: Professor Albert Van Dijk

Professor Albert Van Dijk established and leads the Centre for Water and Landscape Dynamics at the Fenner School of Environment, Australian National University.

Professor Van Dijk’s research addresses the interaction between vegetation and the hydrological cycle and related processes, such as soil erosion, nutrient cycling, salinity, the surface energy balance, the carbon cycle, fire risk, biodiversity, ecological resilience, and crop growth.

His keynote will provide the latest information on the global water cycle closely and the implications for climate change and the future of the planet.
