Working at AISNSW

The Association of Independent Schools of NSW (AISNSW) is the peak body not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and representing independent schools in NSW.

Our staff values:

Respect | Collegiality | Professionalism | Integrity

Who works at AISNSW?

We employ more than 120 education and other career professionals who understand the complex requirements of running a school in NSW. They are passionate in serving and supporting independent school leaders, educators and their staff.

Who Do We Work With?

The independent school sector is made up of more than 400 individual schools and campuses which have their own signature values, ethos or religious affiliation, student needs and socio-economic communities.  Each school is a not-for-profit independent organisation, and becomes an AISNSW member to gain support in compliance and regulation, professional learning opportunities and advocacy.

Each school has its own board and governors which make the decisions for the school - from the number, age and gender of the students to the philosophy, learning styles and education delivery.

“Working with a group of highly qualified professionals who readily share insights, research and innovative thinking to achieve a common goal is a privilege.”

- Glenda, Teacher Accreditation Consultant

Our dedicated education consultants

Naturally, many of our employees are teachers. They are experienced practitioners and leaders, dedicated to assisting their colleagues in schools to be the best educators they can be. They design courses and conferences for educators to attend here in Sydney.

They also deliver the same education innovation in schools all over NSW, particularly in regional areas, as individuals and in teams of consultants.

They work with whole schools to implement improvement, school funded projects and with teachers just beginning their career journey. It is exciting and varied work—and very much in demand.

“AISNSW’s role as a peak body organisation for the independent school sector requires extensive consultation with a vibrant and diverse range of independent schools"

- Adele, Policy & Compliance Consultant
