The Australian Government has announced a Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) to assist students in visiting significant historical, cultural and democratic sites in Canberra. Eligible schools for the financial assistance include schools from outer regional, remote or very remote areas and disadvantaged schools.
The program includes visits to Australia’s Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial, the Museum of Australian Democracy and the National Electoral Education Centre at Old Parliament House. To be eligible schools are required to participate in PACER approved programs with at least three of the four mandatory PACER institutions.
The funding will apply to all eligible schools that travel to Canberra in 2023 including those that have already completed visits. For more information, see www.pacer.org.au.
