We are pleased to announce that the new 2025 Experienced Teacher Accreditation Manual is now available.

The Experienced Teacher Accreditation Manual is a one stop shop that sets out the AISNSW policies and procedures for 2025 Experienced Teacher accreditation and provides guidance and advice to assist applicants, supervisors and principals to interpret the requirements for Experienced Teacher accreditation within the context of their school and individual teacher’s roles.

Following feedback from principals, further enhancements have been made to Experienced Teacher accreditation for the 2025 cohort as AISNSW continues to provide more streamlined and flexible processes.

Key enhancements for 2025 Experienced Teacher accreditation include:

  • revised timeline for application and submission
  • accreditation fee broken into two parts (application fee and submission fee)
  • increased flexibility for evidence with a focus on holistic demonstration of practice against the Standards, including the following changes to the evidence requirements:
    • the Principal Attestation will provide evidence for three whole Standards – Standards 4, 6 and 7
    • a reduction in the Documentary Evidence required with applicant’s only needing to provide documentary evidence for a selection of 20 Standard Descriptors of their choice from Standards 1, 2, 3 and 5
    • an Explanation of Evidence – Annotations document to be submitted for each set of documentary evidence with separate annotations for each Standard Descriptor no longer required
    • increased flexibility for the Observation of Practice which may address up to 5 of the 20 required Standard Descriptors drawn from any of the Standard Descriptors in Standards 1, 2, 3 and 5
    • increased flexibility for applicants to include evidence developed both independently and in collaboration with colleagues in the normal course of their professional work as a teacher, with updates to the Principal Attestation and Declaration of Authenticity to certify the applicant’s role in the development of any collaborative evidence.

In addition to the new 2025 Experienced Teacher Accreditation Manual, the following resources are also available to teachers in AISNSW member schools at no charge to support Experienced Teacher accreditation:
