The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) has confirmed that the 2025-26 Bush Fire Season will operate from 1 October 2025 through to 31 March 2026.
These dates may vary in some local government areas (LGAs) based on the conditions in the area; in some Northern NSW LGAs this is already in place.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority has launched Get Ready NSW, a public awareness campaign to help communities understand the three warning levels used during bushfires, floods and other emergencies.
