Enrolment

A school’s enrolment policy should be inclusive of all students. Information should be available regarding the process for enrolling students with disability.

The Guidelines for Enrolling and Supporting Students with Disability describe how a school may approach the planning and decision-making process regarding the enrolment of students with disability. They provide a framework, consisting of four phases, to assist NSW independent schools to comply with the Standards in the enrolment and support of students with disability.

The Guidelines are designed to support the inclusive ethos of independent schools as they seek to maximise and improve the educational outcomes and wellbeing of all students, including those with disability, and provide access to a high-quality education that is free from discrimination.
