Boarding
AISNSW provides a range of services to help member boarding schools.
The Regulation Team supports member boarding schools with:
- meeting NESA’s registration requirements
- conducting an internal self-assurance process
- reviewing boarding policies, procedures, handbooks and record keeping
- linking boarding operations with CRICOS requirements
- meeting child protection requirements
- an ‘external audit’ service and report, and
- self-assurance process resources.
Additional services and collaborations across AISNSW teams can help boarding schools with:
- WHS and employment relations for boarding staff and GAP students
- implementing the child safe standards
- supporting student wellbeing and mental health in the boarding house
- creating culturally safe and responsive environments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander boarders.
