Boarding


AISNSW provides a range of services to help member boarding schools.

The Regulation Team supports member boarding schools with:

  • meeting NESA’s registration requirements
  • conducting an internal self-assurance process
  • reviewing boarding policies, procedures, handbooks and record keeping
  • linking boarding operations with CRICOS requirements
  • meeting child protection requirements
  • an ‘external audit’ service and report, and
  • self-assurance process resources.

Additional services and collaborations across AISNSW teams can help boarding schools with:

  • WHS and employment relations for boarding staff and GAP students
  • implementing the child safe standards
  • supporting student wellbeing and mental health in the boarding house
  • creating culturally safe and responsive environments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander boarders.
