Not All Heroes Wear Capes

For World Teachers' Day 2024, we celebrate these everyday superheroes who dedicate their lives to lighting the path to knowledge and understanding.

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and they don't always wear capes. Sometimes, they stand at the front of a classroom, armed not with superpowers, but with knowledge, passion, and dedication. Teachers are the unsung heroes of our society, shaping minds, nurturing potential, and inspiring greatness. They ignite curiosity, instil values, and empower the next generation to reach for the stars.

Join AISNSW and the Independent sector in honouring teachers and showcasing their heroism through the artistry of students in our "Not All Heroes Wear Capes" art competition.


Prizes for the winners of this competition have been generously donated by Eckersley's Art & Craft. Eckersley's is one of the largest fine art, craft and design supplies retailers in Australia.

AISNSW World Teachers' Day Winners


World Teachers' Day Celebrations

World Teachers' Day is an opportunity to celebrate teachers everywhere for the important role they play inside our classrooms and in the community. This year we held the Not All Heroes Wear Capes student art competition, an opportunity for AISNSW member school students to create a piece of artwork in celebration of their teachers. The winning artwork from both categories has been used to create social media tiles and cards to be shared to celebrate on 25 October.
