Growing Evidence Informed Practice brings together teachers and leaders across all career stages to learn, develop, and grow their understanding of using evidence, assessment and data.

All students learn, progress, achieve and thrive through high quality evidence informed teaching practice.  High quality teaching is underpinned and strengthened by practitioners who have a deep knowledge, understanding and skills in using evidence, assessment and data and who confidently lead evidence informed practice in their own contexts.

Growing Evidence Informed Practice brings together a range of activities in support of educators.

Growing Evidence Informed Practice Professional Learning

Growing Evidence Informed Practice is a twelve-week initiative that supports educators to:

  • enhance their understanding of modern assessment theory, and its application in practice
  • develop a deeper understanding of evidence informed practices
  • explore contextually sensitive and practical applications of evidence informed decision-making
  • experience increased professional motivation and engagement
  • increase their capability and confidence in supporting colleagues to improve their practice.

It is anticipated that these outcomes will result in improved student motivation, engagement and achievement.

Growing Evidence Informed Practice will be delivered via an online platform enabling individuals and teams irrespective of circumstance and location to:

  • engage in a combination of self-paced and guided learning
  • participate in disciplined dialogue, learning with and from each other, within a community of practice
  • identify and audit knowledge and skills
  • review and refine professional thinking and practice, including leading change within your own context.

Growing Evidence Informed Practice provides you the opportunity to engage as an individual or as a group or team from your school.
