This set of Engagement strategies ensures that students are involved in the lesson, allowing them to stay on track with the instruction as they are constantly being asked to do something. Planned, intentional use of engagement strategies allows teachers to check for understanding and make instructional decisions (Archer & Hughes, 2011).
