Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education

The AISNSW provides consultancy support to primary and secondary schools to create an authentic connection between their curriculum areas, their local Aboriginal community and engage with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture to enhance all students’ understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and knowledge systems.

Consultancy support is also available to schools to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

All AISNSW activities align with the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Strategy 2015.

Coming Together

We sit around the campfire and share a yarn together. Also we bring to that yarn our resources, strengths knowledges and learnings to share with each other. Our discussions make us aware of all that we have combined, and we soon work out that we have many resources, strengths, knowledges and learnings to achieve the goals we are aiming for. As a collaborative, we stand strong and resourceful, with the ability to achieve anything because of our connection to each other.
